ACTIVITIES__________

Learning Center is a place where children of Dasilan Village, Srihardono Village, Pundong can learn and play at the same time. It is a cooperation work between LINGKAR, Nurani Dunia, Borneo Tropical Rainforest Foundation (BTRF) and Le Rosey Institute Switzerland. 5 x 7 m2 wide, this building is a BTRF and Le Rosey Institute gift for Children of Dasilan. The management of Children Center is under the care of Karang Taruna with LINGKAR assitance.





Some of the facilities for the children are library books; vary from religious, agriculture, entreprenuership, creativity, or short story; game and drawing stuff, gardening and sport equipment. However, parents and teenagers is permitted to use this facility. The other activity is gardening, which is aimed to generate children motivation in agriculture, create a sense of responsibility to the environment, and inspire children creativity. The Learning Center brings a lot of joy to the children. Together with friends, playing and learning new things they cannot find in school, they get so much benefits from this place.


In the future, it is hoped that Dasilan Learning Center will not only be used by Dasilan community only but also by the whole community of Srihardono. A communal activity is held every Sunday with different theme, still in the concept of sustainable education, and form in the learning by playing model. The same model is also developed in two other sites, Giriloyo and Gunung Manuk Village.
